Correct Answer: (2)
Solution: (2) Total number of cars sold in countries A and B
$=40000 \times \frac{1}{4} \times \frac{80}{100}$
$+40000 \times \frac{30}{100} \times \frac{50}{100}$
$=40000\left(\frac{1}{4} \times \frac{4}{5}+\frac{3}{10} \times \frac{1}{2}\right)$
$=40000\left(\frac{1}{5}+\frac{3}{20}\right)$
$=40000 \times \frac{7}{20}=14000$
Required percent
$=\frac{14000}{40000} \times 100=35$
