Answer: (1)

Solution: (1)

In original mixture,

Juice : water $=120: 20=6: 1$

In 7-liter mixture,

Milk = 6 litres

Water $=1$ liter

According to the question,

$\frac{120-6}{20-1+x}=\frac{19}{4}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{114}{19+x}=\frac{19}{4}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{6}{19+x}=\frac{1}{4} $

$\Rightarrow 19+x=24$

$\Rightarrow x=24-19=5$ litres

In 23 litres of the resulting mixture,

Quantity of water $=4$ litres

$\therefore$ Required quantity of water $=19+x-4$ $=15+x=20$ litres
