Answer: (4)
Solution: (4)
In jar A,
Milk : Water $=180: 36=5: 1$
Let $x$ litres of mixture be taken out.
Quantity of milk $=\frac{5 x}{6}$ litres
Quantity of water $=\frac{x}{6}$ litres
According to the question,
On adding 6 litres of water in jar B,
$ \begin{aligned} & \frac{\frac{5 x}{6}}{\frac{x}{6}+6}=\frac{5}{2} \\ &\Rightarrow \frac{\frac{5 x}{6}}{\frac{x+36}{6}}=\frac{5}{2} \\ & \Rightarrow \frac{5 x}{x+36}=\frac{5}{2} \\ & \Rightarrow 10 x=5 x+180 \\ & \Rightarrow 5 x=180 \\ & x=\frac{180}{5}=36 \text { litres } \end{aligned} $
