Answer: (5)
Solution: (5)
In vessel $A$,
Milk : Water $=140: 40=7: 2$
Let $x$ litres of mixture is taken out.
In $x$ litres of mixture,
Quantity of milk $=\frac{7 x}{9}$ litres
Quantity of water $=\frac{2 x}{9}$ litres
According to the question, In vessel $B$,
$ \begin{aligned} & \frac{\text { Milk }}{\text { Water }}=\frac{19}{3} \\ & \Rightarrow \frac{\frac{7 x}{9}+17}{\frac{2 x}{9}}=\frac{19}{3} \\ & \Rightarrow \frac{7 x+153}{2 x}=\frac{19}{3}\\ & \Rightarrow 21 x+459=38 x \\ & \Rightarrow 38 x-21 x=459 \\ & \Rightarrow 17 x=459 \\ & \Rightarrow x=\frac{459}{17}=27 \text { litres } \end{aligned} $
